Scripture: Colossians 3:12-17
Sermon Series: Complete in Christ

If you are a believer, how much does the fact that God deliberately chose you, set you apart for his purposes, and dearly loves you impact your motivation to live your life for Him? Some will argue that knowing we are secure in Christ regardless of our performance will lead to lax
and immoral behavior – do you agree? Why? Why not?

As you look over the “articles of clothing” Paul is calling us to put on in verses 12-14, which ones do you need to make a more concerted effort to put on? Are you harboring any “grievances” against another believer? If so, what is the Lord asking you to do through this passage? Any simple acts of “kindness” that the Lord may be calling you to “put on”?

Can you honestly say that the “peace of Christ” is ruling in your heart? What tends to rob you of that peace? What steps can you take to experience that peace individually and in the body? See John 14:27; Rom 5:1-5; 14:19; 15:13; Phil 4:4-9; Gal 5:22; II Ths 3:16; Heb 12:11
On a scale of 1 to 10, how “richly” is God’s Word dwelling in you? What steps are you taking to make it at home in your life? Are there any areas in your life where you are not acting consistently with the “name of the Lord Jesus”? What is He calling you to do about them?
