Sermon Series:

How would you respond if a non-believer approached you and said, “You Christians talk a lot about ‘faith’…what does that really mean?” What are some of the essential ingredients of biblical faith?  Is it “logical”?  Is it a “blind leap”?

What are the “things hoped for” that are mentioned in verse 1? (see also Rom. 8:18-24)  In what sense is faith “future” oriented?  What impact should our present experiences have on our faith?

According to verse 6, what two realities must we believe?  What does it mean to “earnestly seek Him”?  What are the “rewards” of diligently seeking the Lord?  What are you practically doing to “seek” the Lord in your life?

If it is impossible to please God without faith, then it follows that God will provide us with ample opportunities (aka challenges) to please him.  What situations or circumstances in your life right now are opportunities for you to exercise faith and bring joy to your Father?
