Scripture: Luke 11:1-4; Matt. 6:9-13
Sermon Series: Lifestyle For Life

What is your gut response to the topic of prayer? What role does prayer play in your spiritual life now? What does your actual prayer life look like in practice? What do your prayers typically focus on? When and where do you pray? Why have you decided to pray as you do?
If prayer is a struggle (and it is for many believers), what reasons do you think make it so challenging to consistently include in our lifestyle? What specific challenges make it difficult for you? What do you think are the benefits of a consistent prayer life? What role do you see prayer playing in Jesus’ lifestyle?
The Lord’s Prayer can be recited in under 25 seconds. Do you think Jesus was simply wanting his disciples to pray this prayer verbatim? Why or why not?
What do you think Jesus was trying to teach us through how the topics in the prayer are ordered? Is this order typical in most of our prayers today? Would your prayers change if you started by focusing on who God is and what he desires before asking him for your requests? “Prayer is only for the helpless!” – Ole Hallesby. What do you think of this statement?
