Sermon Series: Grace Sermons (2017)
  1. Enablement in Jesus’ miraculous commands
    1. Peter walked on the water (Matthew 14:24-31)
    2. Healing of man with withered hand (Luke 6:6-11)
    3. Lazarus raised from the dead (John 11:43-44)
  2. Enablement in Jesus’ requirements for believers
    1. Jesus satisfied God’s justice on our behalf (the gospel)
    2. That we bear much fruit (John 15)
    3. That we take His yoke upon us (Matthew 11:29)
  3. God’s enablement in our suffering (John 16:33; 1 Peter 2:21; 1 Peter 4:13; 2 Timothy 1:8; 2 Corinthians 12:9; 2 Corinthians 1:5-7; 2 Corinthians 1:9-10)
  4. God’s enablement through His provisions (2 Peter 1:4; Philippians 2:13; Philippians 4:13; Philippians 3:3; 1 Peter 4:11)
  5. God’s greatest enablement – His Spirit (John 16:13; Romans 8:11; Romans 8:26)
  6. The life of grace presents exceedingly high standards. But He doesn’t just give us His command, or high standard, or requirement, and then leave it up to us to figure out how to meet or accomplish His will; instead He enables us every step of the way!

He asks that we abide in Him and know Him; grow in the grace and knowledge of Him; and depend on His sufficiency and ability to accomplish His work in and through us.

To God be the glory!
