What do you do to attempt to stay close and connected with God? What reasons does the author give that should encourage us to draw near to God? What needs to be true of us if we are to experience intimacy with God? What challenges and obstacles do you face in pursuing a close relationship with God?
What causes you to waver in your trust and lose hope in the promises of God? How can we continue to hope and trust in God when life is not turning out as we expected?
What role do other believers have in your spiritual life? Is it possible to live a healthy Christian life without regular connections with fellow believers? Why do you think some believers have given up on church?
Spend some time seriously thinking about how you can be a catalyst who encourages other believers to really love those around them and invest their time, talents, and resources in things of eternal significance.
