The Trusting Terrorist

Death is viewed as the end of all hopes and dreams by many in our culture (“Eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we die!”), what emotions and reactions rise up in you as you think about the inevitability of your own death?  According to Jesus, what awaited the trusting terrorist?  What awaits you?

For those who believe in the “afterlife”, there are a myriad of ways promoted that will supposedly enable us to live forever in “paradise”.  What are you counting on to get you in?  What does Jesus’ interaction with this terrorist tell us about the entrance requirements?  See also John 6:28; Acts 16:31; Ephesians 2:8&9

The Apostle Paul tells us that the Christian faith is worthless and pointless without the actual bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ (I Cor. 15:17).  If we are honest with the biblical texts and history,  it is impossible to remain neutral about Jesus – He is either worthy of our complete trust or worthy to be mocked.  Which crucified terrorist do you identify with?
