As you look back over Abraham’s life and walk with God, what impresses you the most about this man? In what areas of his life can you learn from his example? How do you see God’s undeserved favor impacting Abraham’s life?

What were some of the specific challenges to and tests of Abraham’s faith as he walked with God during his life? How did he respond to those challenges? What are some of the specific challenges and tests that you are facing now? How do you think Abraham would advise you to handle these faith testing situations?

Abraham was a man of the tent and the altar. Repeatedly we see him worshipping God and setting up his tent. What does this tell us about Abraham’s priorities? How can you live a more “tent-like” existence given the realities of our very materialistic culture? What can you do to seek to make your worship of God more vibrant, genuine and consistent?
